powder brows
What Are Powder Brows?
Powder brows are a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo technique that gives the brows a powdery, filled-in look. The powder brow technique is achieved by using a tattoo machine to implant pigment into the skin in small, feathery strokes that mimic the look of makeup. This eyebrow tattoo technique is a better option than microblading as it is a less invasive way to achieve semi-permanent brows.
The powder brow technique can also be used to cover up old, faded eyebrow tattoos. If you are not happy with your current eyebrow tattoo, powder brows could be the perfect way to give your eyebrows a fresh new look.

FAQ
DOES IT HURT TO GET POWDER BROWS?
No, it does not hurt. Many clients fall asleep in the chair!
HOW LONG WILL POWDER BROWS LAST?
Typically 2-3 years. However, everyone is different and some will notice fading sooner. A Touch-Up is recommended at 6-8 weeks after your initial appt to increase longevity.
WHAT IF I'VE HAD PREVIOUS BROW WORK DONE?
If you have had previous permanent makeup done to your eyebrows, please send a photo to [email protected] or text a photo with your contact info to 561-676-3314. Your previous work must be at least 60% faded to be considered for a new service. Please contact us so we can review your options.
HOW LONG IS THE POWDER BROW APPOINTMENT?
Plan on the initial Powder Brow service lasting approximately 2 hours. Touch-Ups do not usually take as long. It will depend on your individual needs.
DO I HAVE TO GET A TOUCH UP DONE ON MY POWDER BROWS?
It is highly recommended that you come in for a Touch Up appointment 6-8 weeks after you have your Powder Brows done. Once they are fully healed, the artist can assess and improve any needs. Touch Ups are not required but can increase the longevity of your Powder Brows. There is a possibility that you may not need a touch-up but Effortless Arches would still like to see you to check healed results and take photos.
ARE POWDER BROWS & MICROBLADING THE SAME THING?
No. Microblading is a technique that is done by making individual strokes in the skin to look like hair. Powder Brows uses a pin-dot pigment application that results in a softer powdery and natural look. Both services are, however, permanent makeup techniques that are a type of tattoo.
ARE POWDER BROWS THE SAME AS A REGULAR TATTOO?
Yes and no. All permanent makeup is a type of tattoo. The difference between PMU and regular tattoos is the technique and tools used. The PMU pigment is not applied as deeply into the skin as a regular tattoo and therefore does not last a lifetime like a regular tattoo.
HOW LONG DO POWDER BROWS TAKE TO HEAL AND WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?
Powder Brows take a full 4 weeks for complete healing. You will be given full instructions and an after-care kit at the end of your appointment. You will need to keep your brows dry for 2 weeks after. You may notice some flaking and a change in the intensity of the color during those 4 weeks. Proper aftercare of your Powder Brows will directly affect your results.
