  • Bunny Lines: 2-6 units
  • Lip Flip: 2-6 units
  • DOA: 3-4 units

Botox Aftercare

After your Botox injection you should avoid exercise for at least three hours after treatment. Do not rub the treated area and avoid wearing makeup as well as no facials for two weeks. Avoid taking aspirin or pain killers for 48 hours as it might cause your blood to thin. Avoid sunbathing or tanning beds for as long as there is redness and swelling.

    What Is Dysport?

    Dysport is also a botulinum toxin injection that is injected into the muscles. Like Botox, it works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles and gives the skin a smoother appearance.

    Dysport is an injectable prescription medication used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows in adults. It works by blocking nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. This relaxes and smoothens the appearance of wrinkles.

    Dysport  is injected directly into the muscles that cause lines. Dysport injections are made from the same bacterium Clostridium botulinum as Botox. It’s contains less protein and is more diluted than Botox. Dysport has been FDA Approved since 2009.

    Dysport may be used in people ages 18 to 65. As with botox, you should not have dysport injections if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neurological disorder, or are allergic to botulinum toxin A.

    What Is Dysport Used For?

    Dysport is a cosmetic injectable that is specifically designed as a treatment of glabellar lines. Glabellar lines that form in the forehead area. When your muscles contract in your forehead area it can cause vertical lines to appear between the eyebrows and forehead. Dysport treatment is a great option for glabellar lines and muscle weakness giving you a youthful appearance. 

    How Long Does Dysport Last?

    Dysport can typically last three to six months depending on the person. Dysport has smaller molecules than Botox, and its this reason why you can see results faster. With Dysport you can start to see results within three to five days after treatment.

    Dysport is more diluted than Botox so you will need more units of Dysport to achieve the level of results as Botox would. While Botox and Dysport are made of different individual chemistries they both offer similar results and smooth our find lines and wrinkles.

    Dysport Aftercare

    After you have received your Dysport injections it is important not to lie down or rub the injection site. It is also advised that you avoid alcohol and strenuous activity for twenty-four hours post treatment.

    Botox has been approved for treating crow’s feet, forehead lines and glabellar lines where Dysport has only been approved for treating glabellar lines.

    Dysport is meant for anyone with moderate to severe wrinkles as these injections are deeper than Botox injections and cover a wider area.

    Botox is for smaller areas that helps temporarily paralyze the muscles where we make facial expressions specially around the eyes and mouth.

    Dysport tends to be better for wrinkles around the eyes but wrinkles around the mouth Botox is a better fit as Dysport might extend to further areas around the mouth.

    Side Effects Of Botulinum Toxin Injectables

    The most common side effects of botulinum toxin injectables are temporary and usually mild. They can include:

    – pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site

    – headache

    – drooping eyelids

    – dry mouth

    – nausea

    – fatigue or flu-like symptoms.

    Botulinum toxin injections are considered  safe and effective for most people. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before getting botulinum toxin injections. Be sure to tell your doctor if you:

    – are pregnant or breastfeeding

    – have a neurological disorder

    -had botulinum toxin injections in the past (this may increase your risk of side effects)

    – have any allergies, particularly to botulinum toxin or cow’s milk protein.
